Oscar Peterson

An athletic and imperturbable jazz piano virtuoso, Canadian Oscar Peterson established himself, in the 1950s, as a sort of icon of the genre. His discography is impressive, he knows how to infallibly swing an immense repertoire of standards of all genres, with technical perfection and harmonic relevance which have allowed him, over the decades, to accompany everyone, from Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald to Fred Astaire , Sarah Vaughan , Dizzy Gillespie and a thousand others... He owes the best of his style to another great popular artist, Nat King Cole , pianist as well as singer.
