About the album

Undoubtedly the most famous group of the 1940s, the Andrews Sisters recorded 224 titles with DECCA from 1937 to 1951, and achieved a record 113 chart hits and 19 gold records . They bring dynamism, a joie de vivre, an uptempo rhythm, a sophisticated and jazzy vocal harmony. Their smile and optimism played a large part in the hope that prevailed throughout the war period and which earned them the nickname " America's Wartime Sweethearts ".
