CD 1 alternates between songs and archive interviews with Charles Trenet, Raymond Devos, and Jacques Canetti, between 1953 and 1988.
CD 2 reproduces the previously unreleased concert of November 29, 1947 at the Théâtre de l'Etoile in Paris, Charles Trenet's first recorded full-length recital. French broadcasters witnessed the return of the “singing madman” to the stage after two years spent in the United States.

An exceptional document safeguarded by INA, this recital has been restored with the most scrupulous respect for the original sound.
